Frankie is a free spirit, a glorious blend of colourful hues. She throws herself energetically into everything she does. She’s tried her hand at most things, from scuba diving to rock climbing.
Her eclectic collection of clothes gives her a style all of her own, and years of yoga have kept her slim and agile. Despite her bravado, Frankie is a restless soul, constantly travelling and volunteering for different charities, searching for the place where she belongs.
Her relaxed manner makes it easy for her to get on with most people, but she’s not a pushover, and you cross her at your peril.
Julia
Since her retirement as a head teacher, Julia is bored. Writing her first novel continues to elude her, despite many attempts. She has amused herself by reading all thirty-three of Agatha Christie’s Poirot novels and now considers herself an expert in the art of detection. Her secret is the light she holds for her married ex-colleague Tom, who, unbeknownst to Julia, feels the same way about her.
As the older sister, Julia has always felt the need to instruct Frankie in whatever task she is undertaking, much to Frankie’s irritation.
A dependable, observant, intelligent woman who has an impetuous side to her that occasionally rises to the surface.
